COMMUNITY AND EVENTS FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT

Temporary Contract until 30th June 2015
Salary - £14,025 per annum (pro rata)
Based in Newton St Loe, outside Bath

For over 25 years, international development charity Send a Cow, has been giving African families the hope and means grow enough food to eat, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last. By providing livestock, seeds, training and support to families in seven countries in Africa, we are enabling millions of people to leave poverty behind for good.

At an exciting time of growth for Send a Cow, an opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Assistant to join the successful Public Fundraising Team. Providing support on Community and Challenge Events Fundraising, the role requires an individual that can balance a varied workload, communicate with supporters and staff at all levels and to work collaboratively across departments. With the ability to prioritise work, we require a candidate with excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills.

In this role you will be a core member of the Public Fundraising Team, supporting the development of Community and Events Fundraising at Send a Cow. In return we will support you to be a “hands on” administrator, build your experience in fundraising and develop your skills and exposure in this exciting multifaceted role.

EXECUTIVE PA
Salary : circa £23,000 p.a.
Based in Bath 

For 25 years Send a Cow has been helping thousands of African families and orphans grow enough food to eat, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last. Providing livestock, seeds, training and ongoing support, we help families leave poverty behind for good.

We are now in an exciting period of growth. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative and support service to the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in a wide range of functions and overseeing the smooth running of the UK Send a Cow office.

To succeed in this role, you should be educated to degree level with at least 3 years’ experience in a PA type role. Organised with good attention to detail, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as first class keyboard and PC skills. Above all, you will enjoy working in an organisation which is committed to bringing its life-changing work to thousands of families in Africa.

CORPORATE FUNDRAISING MANAGER - MATERNITY COVER

Full time, based in Newton St. Loe, outside BATH
Salary: £27,000 – £31,000 pro rata

For 26 years Send a Cow has been giving families and communities in Africa the hope and the means to make their own living from the land; steps towards our vision for a thriving rural Africa. Providing livestock, seeds, training and ongoing support, we help families leave poverty behind for good.

We are looking for a Corporate Fundraising Manager to cover the 12 month maternity leave of the existing post-holder. This role is perfect for a skilled fundraiser or marketeer looking to get experience in an international development charity, and/or looking to build on their experience in fundraising/ partnerships in a charity that is growing rapidly. Working alongside and managing our Corporate Fundraising Assistant, you’ll be hungry to maximise the potential of our existing and prospective partnerships with local, national and international companies for the benefit of the whole organisation.

An all-rounder who is self-motivated; great with people, creating and developing ideas, presenting, negotiating, researching and organizing will find a happy professional home at Send a Cow in this exciting year of our growth. Based at our friendly offices in a beautiful village just outside of Bath, this post involves some UK travel, occasional weekend/ evening working and possibly travel to Africa to accompany corporate contacts.

US COUNTRY MANAGER

Our desire is to appoint a self-starter and entrepreneur who can capture the vision and articulate the life changing impact of Send a Cow to a US audience primarily made up of major donors, philanthropic institutions and on line audiences. Ideally the person should have had exposure to overseas development at some level and shares a Christ centered passion to see the work grow and flourish as resources are raised.

Working closely with our newly appointed CEO, Simon Barnes, he will build on your existing skills to build relationships, organise events while writing/tailoring literature for the US market. You will be given every opportunity to grow and thrive in the Send a Cow family.

The position does involve both trips to the UK and our Send a Cow projects in Africa.
