Send a Cow is an established and innovative charity that enables poor farmers in Africa to become self-reliant by providing them with livestock, training and advice. We have been helping families lift themselves out of poverty for 25 years and plan to help thousands more in the future.

Salary: £25,000

For 25 years Send a Cow has been helping thousands of African families and orphans grow enough food to eat, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last. Providing livestock, seeds, training and ongoing support, we help families leave poverty behind for good.

We are now entering an exciting period of growth. We have agreed a new investment plan with the Board of Trustees, which seeks to drive up income so that we can reach more families. Consequently, there is now a need to strengthen our Institutional Funding grant applications to achieve our vision to see a confident and thriving rural Africa, by giving communities and families the hope and the means to secure their own futures from the land. We are seeking one Programme Funding Executive post to cover maternity leave for up to 8 months.

Building on your existing experience in raising funds from institutional donors, you will be support the management of large donor funding contracts, developing funding proposals and preparing detailed budgets from projects plans.

Your organisational and communication skills will ensure that you are able to meet tight deadlines while working co-operatively within the team. You will enjoy pulling together data into logical and coherent documents and be able to prepare and report against financial budgets.
