Mama Blessing and the Railway Line

Mama Blessing and the Railway Line

Mama Blessing and the Railway Line

This KS3 and KS4 Citizenship and Geography resource tells the story of the Banda slum  in Kampala, Uganda and how a railway line built through the middle of it changes the lives of its residents. It asks students to make choices based on real life situations and engages them with the hardships families in the slums have to endure. It is a great resource to show students the reality of poverty, inequality, inequity and social justice.
