Day of thanks from Africa

Day of thanks from Africa

As you will know, we are well in to our Thank You campaign and have received a terrific response so far. Today, Thursday 15th December, we have launched a dedicated ‘Day of Thanks’ in which we will pass on thank you messages direct from our beneficiaries in Africa.

Having directly assisted 14,500 poverty-stricken families across Africa last year, we know the huge impact that its work is having – all thanks to public support.

Members of the Kyosiga Farmers Women Group in central Uganda are so grateful for the gifts they have received and want to share how much their lives have been transformed:

“Thank you for the support, restoring hope, confidence and skills you have given us. Our children are now in school, eat three meals a day and our families are happy.”

With thousands of people across the UK buying gifts each year from the charity to send to poor African communities, the families who benefit want to give something back. On the self-declared ‘Thank you Day’, staff members will spend their lunch hour writing letters and making telephone calls to individual supporters to let them know how grateful they are of their gift.

You may have already received a call or a letter from us. Unfortunately we cannot contact everybody but every single gift we receive makes such a difference and both our African farmers and our staff can see what a huge impact your support is having. Thank you.
