Send a Cow wishes Merry Christmas to all
23.12.2009
Today, all of the Send a Cow staff in the UK have gathered around the Christmas tree, sung carols, shared moving stories of successes and joys from the past year and read out heartfelt and inspiring messages of hope and blessing written by our supporters. See our blog on the event.
Our resident vicar, Reverend Richard Wilson who led the service commented “Christmas is a time of celebration and giving, and supporters’ gifts to families and children that they have never met, make such a difference. We are grateful for all that has been achieved in this year even when the economics of the world has been shaken once again”.
He offered a blessing to all our staff and supporters, “May you find God’s peace and life filling every part of your Christmas celebrations, and may you know, once again, just how significant every gift you make is in bringing hope and life to others”.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a new year of bringing hope and joy to poor families in Africa. We leave you with this Christmas message:
Let us all join hands together,
All around the world,
In every tribe and every nation
Let this banner be unfurled.
Peace on earth goodwill to everyone
Is the message that we bring,
As in unity we lift our voices as one.
At this season we remember,
The gift of God's own Son,
A small baby in a manger
Has brought hope to every one.
So lift up your hearts together
And let the world sing as one,
Merry Christmas to all the world.
