Philip Poulsom
Philip grew up on a dairy farm in Wiltshire. His extensive experience in industry and commerce is complemented by marketing, investment management and corporate planning skills. He became a Trustee in 1996 and is currently Chair of Trustees.
Alison Blackwell
Alison has a wealth of international experience, from a land husbandry education scheme in Uganda to a food for work programme in Afghanistan. She has been a Trustee since 2002.
Florence Kasirye
Florence has extensive experience in agriculture and veterinary medicine, specifically in the dairy sector. She has led national dairy development in Uganda since 2000. She has been Chair of the Send a Cow Uganda Board since 2004 and became a UK Trustee in 2010.
Anthony Herbert
BA, MSc Anthony is one of Send a Cow’s founding farmers and has almost 30 years farming experience. He worked as an agricultural consultant for 8 years and still runs a farm today, producing arable crops and PYO fruit. He has been a trustee since 1990.
Rev Gerald Osborne
MA, MSc Gerald is an organic farmer with beef cattle, laying hens and arable crops. He is also a non-stipendiary priest in the Church of England and Assistant Curate in Salisbury diocese. He became a Trustee in 2008.
Jane Rodger
Jane is in senior management in a bank. She has many years experience of strategy, programme management and consultancy within the Financial Services Sector. She became a Trustee in 2005, having started as a Send a Cow Ambassador.
Peter Reade
Peter is a founding farmer of Send a Cow. He continues to farm near Swindon. He has visited Africa many times and returned to Uganda in 2008 to visit the recipients of the very first cows sent from the UK. He became a Trustee in 1988.
Adrian White
Adrian is a chartered management accountant who is the Director of Finance at the Church Mission Society. He was previously Head of Finance at IFES. He has been a trustee since 2007 and Treasurer since 2009.
Jenny Hemming
Jenny is a commercial lawyer. She has been a Trustee and member of the Send a Cow Management Committee since 2002.
Elizabeth Hampshire
Elizabeth has VSO experience from Kenya and has also lived in Botswana. She has worked as a business consultant for Genus and has been a Trustee since 2002.
Tim Elliot
Tim has held a number of senior management positions including as the Director of Resources for an HIV/AIDS organisation in Kampala. A committed Christian and trained in agricultural sciences, Tim has been a member of the Send a Cow Uganda Board and became a UK Trustee in 2009.
