Remember a Charity

This September saw Send a Cow and over 140 other charities come together as part of ‘Remember a Charity Week’. The week was organised to help boost the number of people in the UK who leave gifts to charities in their wills.

Charitable donations in wills are the foundation of many of Britain’s charities like Send a Cow, creating nearly £2 billion each year - the equivalent of 25 Comic Relief appeals!

Currently, however, only 7% of people leave a legacy in their will, but a majority of people we asked in a recent survey said it is something they would be happy to do, so the aim of this week is to remind people of the importance of legacies and the vital role they play.

Send a Cow’s ‘Pass it On principle’ means that any gift left to us will go so much further. Your donation would start a simple chain of giving where people will pass on the knowledge, livestock and seeds they’ve been given to other families in need. This means that whatever you leave, your gift will continue to grow.
