Sponsor a project

If you are in a position to make a significant contribution to Send a Cow’s work, perhaps you would like to consider sponsoring a whole community project? For £10,000 or more you could help to transform life for many African families in need; you can also visit our work to see the huge difference you’ve made first hand.

Because our approach to poverty reduction produces very visible, tangible results, your support will start making a difference from day one.

It’s not unusual to see dramatic changes in the health and wellbeing of Send a Cow farmers within six months of beginning a new project; it’s a truly inspirational journey to share.

An investment in life

Every person we work with passes on a gift of livestock, seeds, training or support to someone else in need, so our projects represent fantastic value for money; they’re a phenomenal investment opportunity! Last year alone, Send a Cow African farmers passed on £500,000 worth of livestock to other local people in need through passing on the gifts ceremonies.

But the generosity of our farmers doesn’t stop there. The communities we work with are keen to share their newly gained skills and knowledge with their neighbours too- even if they are not part of the Send a Cow project. In this way, the impact of Send a Cow’s work ripples out to wider communities and on average, every person we help goes on to help another ten people in need. It’s an investment that is passed on generation to generation.

How long does it take to change someone’s life?

Send a Cow projects typically last for five years. By this time, the groups we work with tend to have developed the skills and confidence they need to continue working their way towards prosperity without our help. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together before we move on to help other communities in need.

We currently have a waiting list of over 400 groups across Africa. We’re eager to get started with them, as each group has been assessed and they will all benefit from our training programme. All we need now are the funds to begin.

If you are in a position to make a generous donation, we understand that you’ll want to consider carefully which charity is best for you.
