March

Mother's Day

Don't forget Mother's Day on the 14th March! If you're looking for a gift idea, why not buy your mum a Bag Garden Starter Kit, or the virtual gift of 'Happy Homes' - helping to put a smile on an African mother's face too.

Clungunford Village Choir in Ludlow

Clungunford Village Choir, a mixed choir of around thirty voices, will perform a concert to be given at Ludlow Methodist Church on March 12th. The concert will raise money for Send a Cow, and will perform a varied programme including African and world songs. The concert begins at 7.30 pm and tickets cost £5.00 each from Wesleys Café at the Church in Broad Sreet, Ludlow, or from Claire Harmer in Craven Arms 01588 673002, or Brenda Coleman in Ludlow 01584 872775.

World Poetry Day

We will be celebrating this day by bringing you verses written by our Aliasit farmer’s group in Uganda. In Africa, Send a Cow trainers often use poetry and drama workshops to tackle complex issues such as HIV/AIDS and gender. Running one of our educational schemes, such as Read to Feed, in a school or kids group would be a great way to mark World Poetry Day.

Concert in Aid of Send a Cow in Devon

On the 27th March a concert is being held in Aid of Send a Cow in Devon.  The Launceston Male Voice Choir will be performing at Fairplace Church, Okehampton at 7.30pm. Tickets £5 from Jenny Reynolds 01837 861678.
